Kaylynn woke up before 6 and I went in to see if she was ready to get out of bed - it was about 20 minutes earlier than usual. She had sort of an 'off' day today, mood-wise. She didn't seem to be ill or in pain, but she wasn't her usual cheerful self. In the morning, she followed me around whining "uppy" over and over and over. I had already explained to her before I put her down in the first place that I had to make "nummies" for lunch and we don't do "uppy" when someone is cooking. Today, she wanted "uppy" and nothing else was satisfactory. So it was a bit noisy for a while around here before we went to school.
School's report said, "Kaylynn had a good day. Of course she did some coloring, but she also liked playing with the plastic food & play dishes. At group time, we read the book Dora's Easter Basket. We made our "Easter basket" for the egg hunt on Friday. We spent a lot of time outside to burn off our energy :) "
At home, she had some snacks but wasn't into what we had for dinner. We played outside, of course, with chalk and the slide. She was really snuggly and clingy - wanted to have "uppy" or be held or sit close a lot. She's definitely into Dewey (Julian) these days, and when he was eating & couldn't give her an "uppy" right away, she started to really melt down. It was around 7:30, so I started the bedtime routine early. We read more books than usual - lots of those ABC books, which I really like - and she put her baby to sleep before she gave a half-hearted protest... but she laid down right away once in her crib and was probably asleep before we left the room. Maybe she was just tired all day.
